Polypropylene Poliglecparone Partially Absorbable Mesh

Partially absorbable mesh is made of knitted Polypropylene monofilament (non-absorbable) and poly(glycolide-co-caprolactone) monofilament (absorbable). The absorbable part is gradually broken down and absorbed by the body within about 3 months, while the Polypropylene remains permanently to provide long-term reinforcement. The mesh is sterile, single-use and supplied ready for implantation.

  • INTENDED PURPOSE: Used to reinforce soft tissue where weakness exists, particularly in the repair of hernias (inguinal, ventral, incisional, umbilical, etc.). Provides durable support to the abdominal wall and prevents recurrence of hernia.
  • INTENDED USE: Gastrointestinal surgery, Colorectal surgery.
  • Lightweight & Partially Absorbable – Poliglecaprone layer reduces overall mesh weight after absorption
  • Excellent Flexibility – Soft, elastic structure gives superior patient comfort and easy handling.
  • Reduced Inflammatory Response – Absorbable PGCL coating minimizes tissue irritation compared to pure Polypropylene.
  • Strong Mechanical Support – Polypropylene base provides long-term tensile strength for hernia repair.
  • Enhanced Tissue Integration – Smooth PGCL surface reduces adhesions while promoting uniform tissue ingrowth.
  • MATERIAL: Polypropylene (PP) Monofilament, Poly(glycolide-co-ε-caprolactone)
  • The Polypropylene Poliglecaprone mesh is sterilized using Ethylene Oxide (EO) gas to ensure product sterility and patient safety.
  • The shelf life of the sterilized Polypropylene Poliglecaprone mesh is 5 years from the date of manufacture, provided the packaging is intact and properly stored.
  • The mesh is initially packed in a primary aluminum pouch and sealed, followed by placement in a secondary aluminum pouch and sealed to ensure protection during storage and transportation.
