Polypropylene Polyethylene Composite Mesh

A sterile, non-absorbable composite mesh designed for soft-tissue reconstruction. It is pre-shaped for easy, ready-to-use application, with a low-profile structure ideal for laparoscopic placement. The mesh combines a knitted Polypropylene layer that promotes tissue ingrowth with a low-porosity LDPE barrier layer that helps prevent unwanted adhesion. It offers high burst and tensile strength and includes perforations to support effective seroma drainage.

  • INTENDED PURPOSE: Polypropylene – Polyethylene Composite Mesh is intended for use in the reconstruction of soft tissue deficiencies, such as for the repair of hernias and chest wall defects.
  • INTENDED USE: Pelvic organs prolapse surgery, Hernia repair surgery.
  • Durable Composite Design: Combines strong Polypropylene with flexible Polyethylene for balanced strength and elasticity.
  • High Mechanical Stability: Excellent tensile strength, minimal shrinkage, and good suture retention suitable for hernia repair.
  • Lightweight & Porous: Open-pore structure promotes tissue ingrowth and reduces foreign-body reaction.
  • Smooth Handling Properties: Easy to cut, position, and manipulate during surgery with stable shape memory.
  • Material: Polypropylene Monofilament, Polyethylene
  • The Polypropylene Polyethylene composite mesh is sterilized using Ethylene Oxide (EO) gas to ensure product sterility and patient safety.
  • The shelf life of the sterilized Polypropylene Polyethylene composite mesh is 5 years from the date of manufacture, provided the packaging is intact and properly stored.
  • It is individually packed in a Tyvek pouch and then placed in a blister to ensure protection during storage and transportation.
